Accessibility statement basic template
Worcestershire County Council is committed to making its websites and applications accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This accessibility statement applies to the Work Well Live Better website.
This website is run by a third-party provider on behalf of Worcestershire County Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- zoom in without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard (including skip to content or skip to main navigation)
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
Non accessible content
We know some parts of this website aren’t fully accessible:
- colour contrast makes it hard to read the text in some parts of the website
- there is no skip content option to bypass the menu
- some pages do not have descriptive hyperlinks
- some links cause a modal keyboard trap
- some content overlaps when zooming into the site
- some pages do not have a logical heading structure
- landmarks are not always coded to support screen reader navigation
Compliance status

- Most links are restricted to registered users only and the pop-up cannot be easily closed using keyboard navigation causing a keyboard trap (2.1.2 No keyboard trap)
- The pop-ups also don’t announce as opened or that the link is restricted for those using screen reader technologies (3.3.2 Labels or instructions)
- When zooming into the site the login and register buttons overlap the menu (1.4.10 Reflow)
